Wayne lives in Sparta, IL. He began carving over 25 years ago. While owning a business and raising two children he carved when he had time. In January 2014 Wayne retired. This extra time allowed him to focus on taking his caricature carvings to the next level.

Wayne enjoys watching the transformation of a block of wood to a one of a kind carving. One of the best perks of carving is the friendship and family atmosphere of the carvers. Wayne enjoys bringing new people into the craft and helping them explore carving, making new friends, and the knowledge and fulfillment of creating art.

Wayne has received many awards and ribbons while carving. He has been awarded the Caricature Carvers of America Award in 2012, 2013, and 2017. His biggest award was getting membership into the CCA September 2017.

Wayne resides in Sparta, Illinois with his wife Pat. He is the father of two children Amy (Tim) Price and Aaron (Shayna) and grandfather to Will, Jake, Kaleb and Addison.
