This competition is open to everyone. And if you’re like most caricature carvers, you’ve carved a few ugly cowboys in your life…. not always intentionally.

Competition Rules – there aren’t any
Just carve the ugliest cowboy you can carve.
Any size, anything goes, just has to be a cowboy.
Bring your ugly cowboy carving to “Carvin’ the Rockies” with a $10.00 entry fee
The CCA keeps the winning carving

• Ugly Cowboy carving entries will be on display at our Saturday Night Social held this year at the Flying W Ranch.
• The Flying W Wranglers will select and announce the winning carving during their show.
• The winner will have the honor of having officially carved the Ugliest Cowboy of the year which will be quite the feather in some lucky carvers’ hat!
• The winning Ugly Cowboy carvings will be displayed each year at our Carvin’ the Rockies event so you can show all your carving friends and brag about how you carved the ugliest cowboy that year.
• Remember, this is a competition for the UGLIEST cowboy woodcarving – it might be the first cowboy you ever carved. So don’t be bringing some nice well carved good-looking cowboy. Just think grizzly, homely, hideous, just plain plug-ugly and you’ll be on the right track.
